A Model Nagasaki Itinerary for Nature and Scenic Views

we introduce a Nagasaki model itinerary for those who love scenic views.
Nagasaki is full of breathtakingly gorgeous sights you can enjoy, including beautiful retro architecture and views where islands meet the sea.

Day 1: Saikai Bashi Bridge and Huis Ten Bosch

Saikai Bashi Bridge is where you can witness the rapids and whirlpools of the Hario Strait, counted as one of Japan’s three greatest tidal currents. It is popular as a stunning natural phenomenon. You can park at the nearby Saikai Bashi Brigde Park and walk along the promenade from there.

After enjoying the beautiful views of Saikai Bashi Bridge, we recommend visiting Huis Ten Bosch. You can admire seasonal flowers like tulips and roses in this European-inspired town. The "Kingdom of Lights" night illumination is particularly popular, featuring magical photo spots such as the three-story merry-go-round, "Sky Carousel."

Kujukushima in Sasebo, where Huis Ten Bosch is also located, are known for their  beautiful landscape dotted with 208 islands of various sizes.

There are also many observation spots within easy reach from Sasebo by rental car. A particularly popular spot is Tenkaiho Observatory. You can enjoy sweeping views of lush green islands in the beautiful ocean, along with rapeseed blossoms in the spring and cosmos flowers in the autumn.
