Sasebo Kunchi Festival

It is an annual autumn festival which is held from the 1st to the 3rd of November in Sasebo. On the first day, "Okudari" of the divine parade of the three sacred portable shrines(Mikoshi) departs from Kameyama Hachimann-gu. The Mikoshi and the chief priest on a holy horse accompanied by townspeople dancing go through the town to Matsuura Park where they set the sacred stop.
