  • 23317views

Osaki Peacock Park is located on the Osaki Peninsula in Omura Bay. As the name suggests, there are approximately 200 peacocks within the park! In addition to peacocks, there are also other small birds and flamingos that can be seen within the enclosed area. There is also an area where visitors can interact with ponies, rabbits and other small animals.

On May 5th of each year, also known as “Children’s Day” in Japan, the park holds a “Peacock Festival” with special events and shows for all visitors.

This park is known for its seasonal flowers and colors. In spring, there are cherry blossoms, azaleas, and Japanese irises. In summer, there are different colors of hydrangeas.

There are many other activities that you can do near the park (the entire peninsula is designated as a nature park) as there are playgrounds, campgrounds and even a go-cart facility nearby.
