Yagatame no Eki / Yagatame Station

This sea salt factory scoops up natural sea water from Kamigoto's beautiful coasts and, through many hours of work, turns it into sea salt. 

The gift shop adjacent to the production plant, named "Yagatame no Eki / Yagatame Station", sells Goto's top quality sea salt and local Kamigoto specialties, as well as containing a small cafe area and a tourism guide desk. In the summer, a beer garden is held on the deck overlooking the Nama Bay. This deck can also be reserved for barbeques.

The salted soft serve ice cream, made with Yagatame's signature Goto Island sea salt, is a big hit among tourists. You can't leave Kamigoto without trying it!
