For one weekend of the year, hundreds of lanterns are hung around the banks of the Nakashima River and on Meganebashi, the Japan's oldest stone bridge. This display gives the night market a wonderfully romantic atmosphere that will leave you with unforgettable memories of this summer.
There is something for everyone at the Nakashima River summer festival. You can meander through a smorgasbord of food and souvenir stands with your friends and family and then catch one of the performances at the main stage.
