Just before the bridge leading to Nagasaki Airport, Glass Sand Beach is located near Morizono Park in Omura city.
This area is created as a part of water quality improvement project  for Omura Bay by Nagasaki Prefectural government.
The beach is made with colorful recycled glass sand, which sparkles under the sunlight and has become a popular Instagram-worthy spot.
Although the glass edges have been rounded for safety, please refrain from entering the area barefoot to avoid any potential injuries.
